Steward Analytics is run by Matthew Sluder, based in Atchison, Kansas. The idea didn’t come from a big leap or a long-time plan — it came from seeing the same problem over and over: organizations with data everywhere and clarity nowhere. Reports, spreadsheets, dashboards — and when it’s time to actually make a decision, it’s still not clear what’s going on.

You can make numbers tell almost any story you want. If you go looking for a narrative, you’ll usually find one — but that’s not the same as finding the truth. Steward Analytics is intentionally small, which means being thoughtful about who we take on, and it means the person who scopes your project is the same person who builds it.
